Cook was hired as foreign coach for the Indian Women’s Wrestling Team in early 2019, working at SAI (Sports Authority of India) camps in Lucknow and Sonepat.

During his stint, Indian women under his guidance earned eight international medals.

His engagement ended around March 2020, when he returned to the U.S. due to COVID‑19 & a later dispute over online training content that led to his contract termination

Andy Cook has served extensively with USA Wrestling, working as a U.S. coach at the Junior Pan American Championships and the Cadet World Championships in 2017.

He was appointed Head Coach of the Grays Harbor College Women’s Wrestling Team in 2016 and during the inaugural season led the team to its first individual All‑American finish.

As a gold-certified USA Wrestling coach, Cook has trained over 50 All-Americans, per his UCSD profile

n May 2025, Cook led clinics, team practices, and private sessions in Hawaiʻi, hosting training events across Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, and the Big Island, recognized as one of USA Wrestling’s top coaches.
